It wasn’t until my 4 year old slipped into some poison oak on a nature walk that I realized I was completely unprepared. As I began to think about what I would actually need in case of an emergency, it felt a bit overwhelming.
Everyday you have a choice. What will you do with that choice? Will you choose to rise? Rise to the challenge in the moment? Speak out against injustice? Keep fighting even when you feel like you can’t tread water any longer?
… it can be easy to fall down the rabbit hole of “someone always has it worse”. That statement will almost always be true. But does it mean what you are experiencing, struggling with, is not worth your time or acknowledgement?
The last few weeks have been filled with some of the best and worst moments. The guilt of losing it on my children (over and over again), confusion of a surreal present, an unknown future and a long list of to-do’s.
This evening I find myself sitting at a quaint little desk in a cute little 3rd floor walk-up apartment in East Village, Manhattan.. thinking about the last 10 years of my life and the years to come.

As I have shared with you already, I'm in a bit of a rut. I feel passion to do something different and big but have no idea what the heck that even is!
We find the best way to keep the kids happy on a road trip is to have a limitless amount of snacks. Does the car get disgustingly dirty? Absolutely. But happy kids on the road is worth every crumb. Am I right??
