Little Bean's Nursery
When trying to decorate your child's nursery, it can at times seem daunting. Especially when you're on a budget! A bold wall and a couple strong staples can make a HUGE impact.
You should have seen the faces of our family members when we told them we were doing the walls black. Ha! Since we didn't know whether we were having a boy or girl, we had to do something more gender neutral. And for any of you who know Jordan and I, black is life. :)
We wanted cozy simplicity and it evolved from there...
The before of this room was a bit outdated. to put it nicely.
In a lot of ways, we lucked out. Under the extremely nasty shag carpet were GORGEOUS wood floors. We rented a massive floor sander for the day and purchased a hand held orbital sander (best purchase ever) for the edges.
Once the floors were sealed with a matte clear, we started painting little bean's room. Since we only had 4 weeks until our delivery date, I was in full nesting mode and was determined to smash through it so it would be ready on time for our little one's arrival.
Once the paint was on, it was time to buy furniture... my favorite part!!!!
We needed to stick to a budget considering we had just purchased a house and had a baby arriving any day so we kept it smart and got some amazing deals. Miracles if you ask me!!!
